After working for the government for 26 years, I retired and started painting.
I wanted to learn Photoshop, so I took some pictures and started teaching myself. I did a lot of research on the Internet, and went to a lot of online tutorials. I love pop art so I taught myself to do photos in pop art.
I also paint rocks. I paint houses, animals, birds, insects, and whimsical things on rocks. I started doing it when I got a book written by Lin Wellford. Her talent is endless. Her instructions are great. After I sold my first piece of rock art, I felt like Van Gogh. We live in an artists’ community and I have a lot of friends who are working artists and it made me feel good that they enjoyed my rocks. Occasionally I help one of my artist friends do some mural painting. Although she does most of the artsy stuff.
